Gluten-free Chocolate Brownies

Gluten-free Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

Method

  1. Melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Add butter and leave to cool.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until thick and creamy and a line in the mixture holds its shape for 3 seconds.
  3. Once the chocolate mixture has cooled, pour into the egg mixture around the edge of the bowl so as not to knock out any air. Fold gently.
  4. Sieve in the flour and cocoa powder and fold the mixture together, being careful not to knock out any air. Add your desired filling and fold gently.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased and lined square tin.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes or until the mixture has set.
  7. Leave the brownies to cool in the tin completely before removing from the tin.
  8. Cut into squares, dust with icing sugar and enjoy.
